Hand Towel Bib

I love when projects are free. For this one, I just used two hand towels from the closet and extra scrap fabric. I got the tutorial here. I love how big the bibs are and that it protects so much of the clothing. I used Velcro to attach mine instead of a snap. I love these!

iPad cover

I used the same fabrics for this cover that I used for the diaper carrier. The yellow fabric is actually a cloth napkin from Target and the inside gray fabric is a bed sheet leftover from a curtain project. I added fusible fleece to give it extra padding.

Pencil Case

I found this really cute pencil case on Pinterest. The tutorial was pretty easy and so I will definitely be making more of these. It's so great to use this in my purse because then I can find my pens and lip gloss so much faster. Before it would all fall to the bottom of my bag into an abyss.

Recovered Couch Pillows

I made pillows for my couch a few months ago but since then, they have started to look faded. I'd like to blame the dog but I think they were actually messed up in the dryer. Anyway, I had left over fabric from another project so I decided to make new slip covers for my pillows. I had to look up how to do the zipper part since I had forgotten since last time. The pillows turned out really nice and I hope they stay nice for a long time! Next project I would like to try sew slip covers for my couch cushions.

Grommet Curtains

I am in love with grommets! They are so easy to install. I've been putting off this project for months because I was nervous to try them. I've heard of a "grommet tool" which I don't have and didn't really want to buy. But these grommets are the snap kind and so all I had to do was measure, cut the hole, and snap them on. They definitely make my $10 curtains from Target look a lot nicer. Now I might have to put grommets in all of my curtains.

Diaper Clutch

In an attempt to better organize my diaper bag, I found some cute ideas on Pinterest and decided to give this project a try. The yellow patterned fabric are actually cloth napkins from Target. They came four in a pack and I thought they would make cute grow pillows but I never got around to making those. Anyway, this islet clutch is more practical for every day use. It's really handy and I just guessed in the measurements. I think next time I will make it a little more compact.
