Tie Cell Phone Holder
I found this idea on a blog to turn a necktie into a cell phone holder. I sewed up the three sides and added Velcro.

T-shirt Quilt
I've made multiple t-shirt quilts and they get easier each time. First I cut out the shirts and then ironed on a fusible backing to all of the t-shirts before sewing the rows. I make sure to scatter the colors and whites so that it is balanced. Then I sewed the rows together including the pocket rows. There is one layer of batting and the backing is made of flannel material. The fleece backing material can be too thick once the batting and t-shirts are added so I prefer the flannel backing. For the border, I folded over the backing about 2 inches and sewed it all around. I loved how it turned out!

Business Card Holders
Of course I saw this idea on Pinterest. I love that it does not require very much fabric and so I can use my scraps. I did have some trouble with the elastic and securing it tight enough. I may try a version without the button and make a tab to slide in on the front. But the buttons are really cute. These didn't take long to sew and they make great gifts.

Owl Make Up Roll
I've made one of these before but this time I decided to use a button and elastic instead of a ribbon tie. I made this for my sister-in-law to match the owl wallet that I made for her last year. It's such a fun project and doesn't take too long to make.

Christmas Cake Pops
I always think baked goods make great gifts. These are chocolate cake pops with a red and green candy coating. I love the contrasting color swirl on top. So cute and delicious!

Crayon Roll
I've seen these on Pinterest and just had to try it. They are so adorable! They are perfect to just throw in a purse or diaper bag for kids on the go. I'm looking forward to when my 14 month old takes an interest in coloring (hopefully not on the walls). So I've made a make up roll before and these are very similar but on a smaller scale. I love how easily they roll up.
